MODERN ROADRACE CLASSES

Race Information

Deadlines: Pre-entry deadlines typically are the Friday two weeks before an event. For certain events, pre-entries may close sooner. Consult the table at the bottom of this page for exact closing dates.

Race fees - All events except those highlighted below: Race fees for all events, first class $85 each day; each additional class $75. Post-entry, first class $100 each day; each additional class $75. NOTE: Each day of racing is a separate event with a separate fee schedule.   DAYTONA: Post-entry: $120 for first class each day, $75 each additional class.

Practice days will be available at most venues on the preceding Friday (see schedule). Cost for AHRMA-run practice days: Pre-entry or post-entry, $120. For track-run practice days, contact the track or event promoter.

Confirmation and event details: Your entry will be confirmed by mail on receipt. Details such as directions, starting times and lodging are published in Vintage Views and by following the "Preview" links on the schedule at the bottom of this page.

 

Sound of Singles® (SOS)

bulletSound of Singles®2: Four-valve four-strokes to 510cc and two-valve four-strokes to 610cc.
bulletSound of Singles®: Unlimited displacement four-strokes.
bulletMotard Motocross, off-road, dual-sport and motard-specific four-stroke single-cylinder machines of unlimited displacement.
bulletSound of Singles®Two-Stroke: Two-stroke singles to 550cc.

Battle of Twins® (BOT)

bulletFormula 3 Twins: Pushrod OHV twins to 1000cc, OHC 2- or 3-valve to 800cc and OHC liquid-cooled 4-valve to 650cc.
bulletFormula 2 Twins: Pushrod OHV machines to 1250cc, liquid-cooled OHC to 750cc, air-cooled 2-valve to OHC to 1000cc and air-cooled 4-valve to 1000cc.
bulletFormula 1 Twins: No displacement limits. Engine modifications are unlimited, except on  water-cooled 4-valve twins over 900cc.
bulletOpen Two-Stroke: Air-cooled machines to 500cc, water-cooled motorcycles with tubular frame to 400cc and modern 250cc GP type machines.
bulletTransalantic Challenge: Supersport rules apply with some exceptions to the Triumph Thruxton and Harley-Davidson XL883 and XL 1200 Sportster.

Sound of Thunder®

Unlimited displacement four-stroke singles; 4-valve demo twins to 1000cc, OHC twins to 1100cc and pushrod twins to 1350cc; three-cylinder machines to 1000cc; and twin-rotor rotary engines.
