CLASSES

The following vintage classes parallel those used in AHRMA pre-1975 motocross with regard to machine eligibility and other requirements. Except for the Sportsman and Post-Vintage machine-based categories, classes are not further divided by engine displacement.

bulletSportsman--88-200cc and 201cc & larger--Novice, Intermediate & Expert.
bulletClassic--Novice, Intermediate & Expert.
bulletPremier--Novice, Intermediate & Expert.
bullet+50--Novice, Intermediate & Expert on any vintage-eligible machine.
bullet+60--Novice, Intermediate & Expert on any vintage-eligible machine.

AHRMA also offers several post-vintage classes for machines from 1975 to the early 1980s. Motorcycle eligibility follows the post-vintage motocross rules. Classes include:

bulletHistoric--divided into 88-200cc and 201cc & larger--Novice, Intermediate & Expert.
bulletPost-Vintage--88-200cc and 201cc & larger Gran Prix or Ultima machines--Novice, Intermediate & Expert.
bulletPost-Vintage +50--Novice, Intermediate & Expert on any Historic or Post-Vintage machine.
bulletPost-Vintage +60--Novice, Intermediate & Expert on any Historic or Post-Vintage machine.

At most events, separate vintage and post-vintage races are run.

AHRMA recommends that a cross country course not be less than 3 miles in length and that no race run longer than one hour before the first finisher is flagged off. There will be no overall winner, only class winners.
