Passing of a Friend ~ Toby Morriss Update
It is with great sadness that we must announce that
Toby Morriss, injured in a hit & run accident on
Sunday, February 21, 2010, passed away this past
Sunday, February 28th.
Toby, wearing full protective
clothing, was riding his father’s BMW and was
stationary at a stoplight. A Ford Ranger truck cut
the corner striking Toby on his left side.
Witnesses were unable to obtain a tag number. Left
bleeding and unconscious, Toby suffered two
fractured ribs, chipped neck vertebrae, and crushed
left wrist. The latter required surgery. Details
are scarce, but it appears the cause of death was a
pulmonary embolism. No funeral arrangements are
known at this time.
Toby was enjoying his first full
season of AHRMA events, and the day before his
accident had won is class in trials and
cross-country at Aonia Pass, Washington, GA. He
didn’t drink, smoke, eat meat or fish, and took
great care of himself. A good friend to many of us,
always willing to help out when one’s bike was sick,
he will be greatly missed.

Attention Dirt Trackers!!!!
In the
February/March issue of Vintage Views on page 32, we swapped
the headings and information for the Neeses, SC and Aonia
Pass, GA dirt track events.
The dates are
correct - but the information listed for Neeses is really
for Aonia and vice versa. Make sure you note this when
plannign for these events.
Sorry for this confusion!
