The Leahy family puts on a first class event at their facility north of Denver, and the hospitality is hard to beat.  It's post-vintage motocross and trials on Saturday, then vintage MX on Sunday.

This is the first time the event has run in the spring.  It will not run in September this year.

Directions:  From I-25 north of Denver, take Exit 252. Go east 5 miles on Highway 60, turn right (south) on County Road 19.  Go a half-mile, track is on the right.

Gate fee:

$10 per person.  Wristbands must be worn.  Anyone arriving at track before Saturday morning should call 970-484-8562 to confirm.  Leave a message and your phone number.

Schedule:

• Saturday:

  • Gate opens 7:30 a.m. (if no one at gate, sign release in office).

  • PVMX sign-up after 7:30 a.m.; riders meeting, 8:45 a.m.; practice, 9 a.m.; racing,10 a.m.  Info via FM radio at 103.9.

  • Trials: sign-up, 2 p.m.; riders meeting, 3 p.m.; start, 3:15 p.m.
    (Any PVMX rider also participating in trials, see Rick Armstrong for later time course requirements.)

• Sunday:

  • Gate opens 7:30 a.m. (if no one at gate, sign release in office).

  • VMX sign-up after 7:30 a.m.; riders meeting, 8:45 a.m.; practice, 9 a.m.; racing, 10 a.m.  Info via FM radio at 103.9.

Awards will be given 20 minutes after scoring is finalized at end of each event.

Camping:  Overnight camping, $5 per vehicle per night.  County requires "self-contained units" for overnight.  Restrooms in sign-up building.

Rules and regulations:

• No pit riding. To jet your bike, come to office for directions.
• No open fires, fires permitted in metal fire pits only.
• No alcohol permitted. All pets must be leashed.

Concessions:  Lunch only.  Refreshments available in office.
