Aug. 27—Speed & Sport/Northwest Maico & CZ vintage MX
Portland Trail Riders
Portland, Mich.

Pre-entry deadline: Aug. 11

The first thing to note about this year’s Portland weekend is that the schedule has been flipped—the cross country and post-vintage motocross now are on Saturday, followed by the VMX on Sunday.

OK, now onto the rest of it. Portland is something of a hidden gem on the AHRMA off-road calendar. The club bends over backward to make competitors feel welcome and to prepare a weekend’s worth of excellent race courses. We use this phrase a lot here, but if you haven’t been to this event, you really owe it to yourself to give it a try. Really.
