Contingency & Support Programs

Performance Tire Service Co. offers a contingency program for AHRMA roadracers who use Bridgestone Tires. The payout is $200 for a first-place finish (with a minimum of five starters in the class), $150 for second (minimum of eight starters) and $100 for third (minimum of 10 starters). Competitors must use Bridgestone tires front and rear and display Bridgestone decals on both sides of the motorcycle. Contingency claim forms (which must be certified by an AHRMA official) and decals are available at tech inspection. For information about the program, contact Aimee Scott-Kelly at 800-828-9143.

The Buell Motorcycle Company announces a 2007 roadrace contingency program that offers up to $2,400 per event in three AHRMA classes. Riders on 2003 model and newer machines are eligible for the program. The per-round payout is shown in the accompanying table. Cycle Performance Products Inc. is posting a 2007 roadrace contingency program that pays a $25 gift certificate to the first and second Aermacchi/Harley-Davidson Sprints with top-10 finishes in the 500 Premier, 350 GP, 250 GP, 200 GP, Sportsman 350 and Historic Production Lightweight classes. Do it on a new Super Sprint and the contingency is doubled. The contingency, which will be awarded on the first day only at two-day events, is based on use of product and display of decals on both sides of the motorcycle for the complete event. Lockhart Phillips has invited AHRMA roadracers to join LPs Team Privateer. Once registered you receive racer discounts off retail for roadrace parts only. Criteria:

  • You must hold a current roadrace license.
  • You must register with Team Privateer to obtain your account number.
  • Please do not order any street bike parts for yourself or your friends. This program is strictly to assist roadracers and their machines.

The MG Cup. Guzzitech.com is proud to announce the kickoff of the 2007 MG Cup Contingency Racing Award Program. This is the second year of the program that rewards Moto Guzzi racers for podium wins in AHRMA and Willow Springs Motorcycle Club (WSMC) races. For 2007, prizes will consist of the following for Moto Guzzi riders at any AHRMA or WSMC race: first place, $100; second place, $50; and third place, $25. There is a maximum payout of $200 per racer per weekend.

For AHRMA races at Daytona on March 5 & 6, the MG Cup prizes for Moto Guzzi racers will be increased to: first place, $200; second place, $100; and third place, $50. There is no maximum payout limit. This special Daytona promotion celebrates Moto Guzzi's continuous presence and many podium finishes in twins racing at Daytona.

The MG Cup program is a grassroots Guzzi racing support effort designed to communicate to racers, race fans, and the motorcycling community that Moto Guzzis can and do win races. Racers must register for this program prior to racing. More information on The MG Cup program is available at www.guzzitech.com. vanson_logo.gif (6521 bytes)Vanson Leathers offers a payout for both the first- and second-place year-end finishers in each class in the national and regional series. At the national level, class champions will earn $200 and the second-place finisher gets $100. For the regional series, the payout is $100 for the class champion and $50 for second. Riders wearing Vanson leathers will receive an additional $100 for the national series and $50 for the regionals. The class must have a minimum of six riders for the program to apply. Riders must display Vanson decals on both sides of their bike and fill out a contingency form at each event to be eligible for the purse. Forms and decals will be available at tech inspection.
