AHRMA is pleased to announce Tony and Faynisha Pentecost have accepted the position of Roadrace Directors.  The Pentecosts are not new to AHRMA as they have served at various times in this organization since the early 90’s and most recently held the position of Interim Roadrace Directors.

No doubt anyone who has been to an AHRMA roadrace has run into these two, but what you may not know is that when Tony first exposed Faynisha to motorcycle racing in 1992 it was with her “kicking and screaming”.  What was to be a family camping weekend getaway turned into a race weekend, and much to her surprise she fell in love with it.  It wasn’t very long before Sharon Dray recruited them to WERA as corner workers. Over the years they worked various positions, Faynisha achieving the position of Control and Tony as Chief Tech.  Since then, the Pentecosts have worked with a wide range of racing organizations including but not limited to MotoGP, World Superbike, AMA, DMG, MotoAmerica, WERA, and IndyCars.  This husband and wife team has a combination of 54 years of experience and has worked virtually every position in roadrace operations.

Tony and Faynisha’s connection with AHRMA began initially in the early 90’s and they reconnected during AHRMA and WERA Vintage joint events in the early 2000’s where they met the emerging faces in AHRMA. It didn’t take long for then Director Cindy Cowell to recognize their talents and invite them to join the team.  With time and familiarity, they found themselves at more and more events with Faynisha doing Control and Tony working the technical and operational side.

From the Pentecosts:

We are humbled by the confidence AHRMA has placed in us to be named as the new Roadrace Directors and we hope to shepherd the organization forward in a manner that will be accepted and sustainable.  But where does that lead us, we are not just about roadracing, we support AHRMA, the whole body.
