Each rider is required to know all the policies and regulations including the proper adherence to track flagging procedures.

  • GREEN – The track is open.
  • RED – The track is closed, most likely due to a crash or some other hazard that may be directly in the race line that needs to be cleaned up. Put your arm in the air immediately when you see this flag then slow your pace considerably but predictably, do not weave. Continue at a safe speed and leave the track at pit-in point unless directed otherwise. DO NOT STOP ON THE TRACK.
  • CHECKERED – End of the session, continue your lap and leave the track when you reach pit-in.  Do not run the checkers, you take away time from the other groups.
  • YELLOW STATIONARY sharpen your focus and be aware of a potential distraction. This could be a slower rider ahead or a bike down and off the race line but still visually distracting. Maintain race speed, passing is still allowed – DO NOT grab a big hand full of brake because you will get run over.
  • YELLOW WAVING slow your pace and be extra cautious for a possible trouble spot. The track will remain open but there is some kind of hazard that could cause a problem. Passing is NOT allowed within the zone where a waving yellow is displayed.
  • YELLOW WITH RED STRIPES – (DEBRIS) This flag will be displayed stationary when there is debris or other hazard on the track.  If race control (safety) determines there is a hazard with your machine, the flag will be pointed at you and you should exit the race course as soon as it is safe in a non-impact zone and follow the corner worker’s instructions.
  • BLACK FLAG WITH RED CIRCLE – (MEATBALL) This flag will be displayed to a rider at start/finish and the rider must finish the current lap then immediately exit the course at pit-in.
  • BLACK – This flag may be displayed to a specific rider at the start/finish line.  The rider should exit the race course as soon as it is safe in a non-impact zone and follow the corner worker’s instructions.
  • AMBULANCE – Someone has crashed and is injured and needs immediate attention. This flag will be accompanied by a RED flag. The ambulance is on the track and heading for the crash site. Put your arm in the air when you see this flag and slow your pace considerably. Leave the track when you reach pit-in.
  • All GoPros (or similar cameras) that are mounted on a motorcycle must have a tether from the camera case to a point on the motorcycle. It doesn’t have to be pretty; it just has to be tethered and secure.
  • Helmet mounted GoPros (or similar helmet mounted cameras) are NOT ALLOWED at all on track.
