1960 BSA 250 Scrambler C15S
Built 5 years ago to compete in AHRMA vintage trials, in the Premier Lightweight Class. Motor and transmission gone thru, gear set is standard (not wide or close ratio), Bearings and seals replaced, new piston & rings, new clutch, new primary gear (18 tooth) and chain, Electrex ignition and charging system, Mikuni carb, new chain and sprockets, new wheel bearings, new rear tire (18″) NOS front tire (20″), rear-set trials foot pegs, alloy muffler, fenders and “bread loaf” fuel tank with Monza gas cap, original seat pan with new upholstery by Cory Burkhead, new fork stanchions, bushings, seals & gators, new rear shocks, new brake shoes and just replaced battery with an AGM.
Rode at two AHRMA vintage trials events and realized trials is not for me. Put lights, speedo & mirror on the bike, got it titled and licensed with a permanent special interest plate (Oregon). Changed counter shaft and rear sprocket to make it more street able, but top speed is about 40 to 45 mph with 18 tooth primary. She’s an in-town cruiser right now. Rode at 2018 Seattle DGR event and was 2nd place for peoples choice in lightweight division.
Starts and runs great. Would be fine for someone to putt around town or change the sprockets and ride it in vintage trials. Rear fender says “Bar Fly” because it used to hang in a Seattle bar. Will include the Rupert Ratio engine and chassis books as well. Build was documented here: https://advrider.com/f/threads/beezer-madness.1155702/
We will be at Jenny Ranch and have the BSA there if it hasn’t sold yet.
$3,200 OBO, will consider trades
