2025 AHRMA Dick Mann National Vintage Challenge (DMNVC) – Choose Your Teammate!
The DMNVC is inspired by Dick Mann’s racing versatility and the Grand National format he is known for. It stands as one of AHRMA’s premier championships. In 2025, it introduces an exciting new twist: East and West two-rider teams competing for the title!

2025 Dick Mann National Vintage Challenge Rules
- Teams will be formed by the riders and will not be a random draw from registrations
- One team member will reside east of the Mississippi and one from west of the Mississippi

- Teams must compete in four of AHRMA’s five disciplines
- Vintage Motocross (VMX)
- Vintage Cross Country (CC)
- Trials
- Dirt Track (DT)
- Road Race (RR)
- Participation in either Dirt Track or Road Race – or both – is mandatory for teams to qualify
- AHRMA off-road scoring will be used for points
- Any AHRMA national is a qualifying DMNVC event
- Any event that is double-points will not count as double points for the DMNVC
- Riders must finish the race (RR, DT, CC, VMX) and do all three loops of a Trials to be scored
- All events with 2 days such as RR and some CC and Trials events will score the best of the two finishes for DMNVC points. DIRT TRACK IS THE EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE.
- SKILL LEVEL NOTE: RR and DT have no skill levels, but the off-road disciplines do. Please note that for VMX and Cross Country you must sign up and ride as an Intermediate or Expert. For riders new to trials, you may sign up and ride as a Novice.
- Tie-breaker: When registering, each rider will identify their Primary Discipline (the discipline they usually compete in most). In the event of a tie between teams, the team with the most points in a discipline that is not the Primary Discipline of either team mate wins.
- Qualifying classes are as follows:
- VMX: Any class/machine listed in the AHRMA Handbook under Vintage Motocross
- Cross Country: Any class/machine listed in the AHRMA Handbook under Vintage Cross Country
- Trials: With the exception of Air Cooled Mono, any class/machine listed in the AHRMA Handbook under Trials
- Dirt Track:
- Dinosaur
- Brakeless Lightweight and Heavyweight
- Sportsman 125, 250, 360 or 750
- Spanish Cup
- Road Race:
- 500 Premier
- 250 and 350 Grand Prix, 200 Grand Prix Plus
- Formula 125, 250, 500, and 750
- Pre-1940 Grand Prix
- Class C Foot & Handshift
- Classic 60’s & Classic 60’s 650
- BEARS
- Sportsman 350, 500, and 750
*note that Road Race and Dirt Track are the only two disciplines that may be split between team members. For example, Teammate #1 could do two Road Race events while Teammate #2 does two Dirt Track events.
Maximum Events Counted:
- A maximum of four national results will be counted from VMX, CC, Trials and RR
- A maximum of two national results will be counted from DT
Rider Contributions:
- Each team mate is responsible for competing in half of the four chosen disciplines to contribute to the team’s final score

Riders will designate their Primary discipline at the start of the series

It is the riders’ responsibility to notify the DMNVC scorekeeper when an event is completed and a score is to be verified.

The DMNVC celebrates not just the individual excellence but teamwork and versatility. The Championship DMNVC awards presentation to be determined at a later date.
