This fully restored, matching numbers 1974 Bultaco Pursang MK7 is finished in factory red with yellow accents and white fenders over a newly painted silver frame and powered by a 360cc two-stroke single connected to a five-speed transmission. Standard features include a black solo seat, a cross-braced handlebar, an upgraded Amal carburetor, Kickstarter, and wire-spoke wheels. The fuel tank is newly painted, and the inside of the tank was sealed. The engine was rebuilt by racer and mechanic Pat Brown. This restored MK7 is now offered in San Jose, California, for off-road use only with a California title in the seller’s name.
This bike has been beautifully restored with polished cases and polished wheel hubs, and the barrel and the head were restored to new condition. Takasago Excel rims gleam brightly at the front and rear and are mounted with tires that have minimal use. The suspension includes Race Tech front fork springs with Gold Valves and dual progressive shocks mounted to the swingarm. Factory drum brakes are mounted front and rear inside the polished hubs. The cross-braced handlebars exhibit bright chrome and new grips, and the polished billet aluminum triple tree has a mirror-like shine. The seller states that he has had about 12 laps, or less than 2 hours of riding time, since the motor was rebuilt. The 360cc two-stroke is air-cooled with a brand-new electronic ignition system that gets this Bultaco fired up with one kick. The Amal carburetor is an upgrade from the original factory Amal and delivers improved performance. The right-side shifter was moved to the left side, and the rear brake is now mounted on the right side. The bike has been fitted with an FMF exhaust and is said to meet forestry and AHRMA noise and spark requirements. It comes with a California green sticker for off-road riding. This bike is ready to race, enjoy off-road, or become a centerpiece in your collection.
