AHRMA National Motocross race in Colorado on August, 22nd-23rd is back on the schedule at a new venue! The bizarre 2020 motocross racing season is nothing if not full of surprises. After the uncertainty over travel and camping restrictions due to Corona Virus regulations in Colorado’s densely populated front range area caused the Two Rivers event in Milliken to be canceled the Rocky Mountain region was left without a National.

Working together in the 11th hour, The Rocky Mountain Vintage Motorcycle Club, AHRMA Rocky Mountain Region, and AHRMA’s National Offroad Director were able to bring another national points-paying opportunity to the central portion of the country in this shortened, unpredictable season. The Rocky Mountain Regional motocross event with RMVMC at Lakeview Motorsports Park in Ordway, rural southeastern Colorado, has been given National status. The race will take place on the originally scheduled date of the Two Rivers National, 8/23/20.

As is becoming the norm this season, the event does face some unusual circumstances. Therefore, all racing will take place on Sunday, Vintage, Post Vintage, and Next Gen. On-site registration and tech inspection will take place on Saturday 8/22/20 only. There will be no Sunday registration or tech inspection. Online registration is open now at ahrma.motorsportreg.com. There will be a track-run open practice on Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Unfortunately, the venue is not suitable for a trials and the National Trial has not been rescheduled.

Lakeview Motorsports Park’s rural location and vintage friendly layout should provide for a safe, fun event on all accounts.  The track layout and prep will cater specifically to our event on the National weekend. Colorado also has some of the best trail riding in the country, its many mountain passes and high alpine trails are prime destinations for many off-road riders from around the world. So, come race, come ride, come experience beautiful Colorado!
