Mark Morrison, 2027 AHRMA Trustee Candidate – East.

My name is Mark Morrison. I live in central Illinois where I am retired. I am passionate about racing vintage motorcycles and believe I have the skills, and experience needed to successfully serve AHRMA’s membership. I am seeking your vote as an Eastern Trustee for AHRMA.

I am a longtime avid motorcycle enthusiast. I have raced motocross, road race currently, and ride and restore both vintage and modern street bikes. I have experience serving on other Boards helping guide their organizations. Finally, during my career, I managed large construction projects which involved critical thinking, problem solving, working with people, managing resources, budgets, and deadlines.

In addition to my skills and experience I would bring a new set of eyes and mind set to the Board. AHRMA is currently a vibrant and successful Club with solid leadership and member dedication. But there is always room for improvement. I want to help influence that improvement and give back to AHRMA making a positive and lasting impact.

My Vision and Strategy:

  1. Continue to build upon the success AHRMA is currently enjoying and lead the strategic development of the Club. Ensure we are forward thinking and dedicated to our mission.
  2. Grow our membership.
  3. Foster more member participation and collaboration through candid communication.
  4. Focus on the big picture and the overall success of the Club.
  5. Build relationships with members and officers. Be open and accessible to member’s feedback, ideas, and concerns. Everyone brings something to the table. Supporting those with merit by bringing them forward to rest of the Board for discussion and consideration in apositive and supportive way.
  6. Demonstrate common sense. Be open to changing my views if the need arises.
  7. Give back to the Club and members by serving you and returning the generosity and kindness members have shown me.
  8. Be a good steward of Club money, running the Club as efficiently as possible while still meeting our objectives. Allocating Club money frugally as if it was my own.
  9. Find additional revenue streams.
