Peter Marcin, 2027 AHRMA Trustee Candidate – East.

Hello, my name is Peter Marcin and I am seeking your support to represent the eastern region as an AHRMA trustee.

I am an active AHRMA member since 2016 and have been volunteering for AHRMA since 2023 working on the AHRMA MAG, Strategic Membership Committee and most recently on the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. As a trustee or not, I hope to continue offering my time and talents to improve AHRMA.

A little about me. I am a husband, father, and grandfather, semi-retired with family, racing, photography, and fishing as my current passions. I started riding motorcycles when I was 10 years old, was severely bitten by the bug and have had one or more motorcycles close by me ever since. Currently I house two 1960’s Hondas and also race three 1970’s Husqvarna’s in vintage MX.

To many, myself included, motorcycles equal racing. During my years I raced motocross, enduros, hare scrambles, drag-raced and even rode some road race practice days on my RD400. I grew up in New England and many trips to the Loudon Road Races, Pepperell MX, Southwick National MX and of course Unadilla shaped my early experience. I also worked at a Harley Davidson dealer during high school and college, a Suzuki dealer afterwards before my degree led to my corporate career at American Honda Motor Company and Nissan North America. The skills I learned at both of these companies inform me for my current consulting gigs. I also maintain and provide most of the content for five Facebook pages and I am an active participant in many others.

In my opinion all of my experience, especially my corporate experience in marketing and market intelligence is directly transferrable to being an effective AHRMA trustee. Be a careful listener of our members, ask lots of questions, seek out data to support a position, and communicate it back to the members for feedback.

I won’t have a personal mission at AHRMA. I aim to listen to the membership and evaluate the evolution of racing to assist AHRMA in making informed decisions and voting for the members and the future.

Thank you for your consideration.
