Tom Watkins, 2027 AHRMA Trustee Candidate – East.

Hello AHRMA Family,

My name is Tom Watkins, and I respectfully ask for your consideration for one of the Eastern Region Trustee positions. Over the past five years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many of you in the paddock, primarily on a social level. Through this introduction, I hope to give you a better understanding of who I am, where I come from, and what I can contribute to AHRMA.

I was born in Northeast Ohio, raised in Florida, and eventually returned home to build our family business. I am married to a wonderful woman who shares my passion for motorsports. She is also a sidecar monkey, which makes our involvement in racing a true family affair. Together, we have three adult children. Our family values are rooted in faith, mutual support, respect for others, and a commitment to doing the right thing, even when it is not the easiest path.

Motorcycles have been a part of my life since childhood. My father firmly believed that if I was going to ride, I needed to know how to maintain and repair my own machines. Because I loved to ride, I learned early how to wrench on motorcycles and, more importantly, how to solve problems. My riding experience includes trail riding, hill climb, flat track, hare scrambles, and road racing. While living in Florida, I was an active member of the Florida Trail Riders Association (FTR), competing in hare scrambles throughout the state, and I also raced with AMA CCS in the Southeast.

Professionally, I have been involved in CNC machining and manufacturing since I was 18 years old. I attribute my success to building strong relationships, applying critical thinking, solving complex problems, and understanding the needs of both customers and employees. My wife and I own operate a manufacturing company that specializes in precision CNC machining. So, how can Tom Watkins be an asset to AHRMA?

It comes down to a few core principles.

I understand that meaningful contributions to any organization require both dedication and time. I understand that decisions must be made, and sometimes those decisions are difficult. I understand that compromise is often necessary to move an organization forward. Most importantly, I understand the responsibility that comes with supporting the mission, objectives, and future of the organization.

My experience in business, combined with my critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, has given me a unique set of tools that I believe would serve AHRMA well. AHRMA is more than an organization to me; it is family. If elected as a Trustee, I will bring the same values, commitment, and care that I bring to my own family and business.

Thank you for your consideration.
