Per the AHRMA Bylaws, “when the office of a Trustee becomes vacant, the Board, by majority vote, shall appoint a replacement Trustee who shall take office and serve for the balance of the vacated Trustee’s term.”
In this case, the term of the vacated office expires at the end of 2023 and is an Eastern Trustee office. If you reside west of the Mississippi, you are NOT eligible for this office. Whoever is elected to assume this position, and wishes to remain on the board for the office’s next term beginning in 2024, will be required to run for the position in the 2024 Trustee Election held at the end of 2023.
