AHRMA Mid-Atlantic MX and Southeast Region competitors,
After much discussion with our promoters and partners, it is with great sadness that we announce the cancellation of our 2020 Regional Championship Series for the AHRMA Mid-Atlantic MX and AHRMA Southeast Regions. I join with our friends from the ACR, Mr. Tom France, and the SE Region of AHRMA, Mr. Tim Terrell, in making this announcement, knowing that the health and well being of our members and families are our number one priority. Additionally, it was proving impossible to put together any kind of meaningful championship series. So we will begin planning for 2021 anticipating that future conditions will allow us to race.
The good new is, at this time, all other regional championship series are still to be carried out as planned! For up to date information please check the appropriate regional pages, and for national event situation updates refer to the Event Situation Report page.
This does not include any AHRMA Nationals that are or may be scheduled within our regions for National Championships, however, no Regional Series points will be awarded.
Although our series have been cancelled, there are still four events which are still slated to occur, and these are the following:
- Shady Acres – July 25th & 26th AHRMA National XC with added “for fun” MX
- Unadilla – August 28th – Vintage to 1990. MX and XC
- Lake Sugar Tree – September 12th – Vintage to Modern w/ Trials
- Turkey Creek-August 15th Practice and 16th race. This will be a modern MX only race with Vintage/PV and NG as support classes.
Again, these events will not offer Regional points, but will be open for folks to race and have some fun. Obviously conditions could change which would cause the cancellation of these dates and I will have more information as we get closer to the actual event. Questions? Drop Thor or me a note, or for South East questions contact Tim Terrell. In closing, we appreciate your understanding, and hope that you and your family will remain safe!
