The AHRMA Off-Road Committee would like to provide the following information to our members about the 2020 National Championship Series awards format. After much discussion with the Motocross, Trials, Cross Country and Dirt Track coordinators, the following points format is now in place:

For a motocross rider, National Championship year-end awards will be based on a rider’s best five finishes in any District plus the double points Championship Final in Henryetta, Oklahoma, which could pay a maximum of 80 points. If a rider is 81 points ahead of second place after all National MX races leading up to the final event are completed, he or she has the option of racing in the season final but is not required to do so to win a National Championship.

For a Trials rider, National Championship Series year-end awards will be based on a rider’s best five finishes. There is a National double points event at Henryetta, Oklahoma but a rider is not required to participate in this event to receive a year-end award.

For Cross Country and Dirt Track riders, National Championship Series year-end awards will be based on a rider’s best finishes for half of the national events. There will be a year-end final in Henryetta, Oklahoma but it does not pay double points. A rider is not required to participate in this event to receive a year-end Championship.

AHRMA Off-Road will host a Year-End Championship Awards Banquet on November 8, 2020 at the Henryetta, Oklahoma, Civic Center in downtown Henryetta. Special thanks to Sherri and Trampas Parker as well as the town of Henryetta.

Finally, be advised that there are now three Districts in AHRMA for Motocross; the Eastern, Central, and Western Districts. The District Champion will be awarded based to the rider who earns the most collective points in their discipline (VMX, PVMX, NG) in each skill level. There will be 9 district Champions; VMX Expert, VMX Int, VMX Novice, PVMX Expert, PVMX Int, PVMX Novice, and NG Expert, NG Int, NG Novice.
