    So your cut off is 1977 not like the ama at 1997

      I assume you are referring to post vintage MX. If so, there is no actual cut-off date; the classes are configured by eras of technology. The latest era for a championship class ends with drum-brake bikes (see the Handbook for further details), although a support class is offered for machines with a front disc brake and drum rear brake.
