The inaugural AHRMA “Shootout at the Barber Corral” will take place at 5pm on October 6, 2018, during the 14th Annual Barber Vintage Festival in Birmingham, AL.
This special race is open to Pre-1940 Grand Prix and Class C Handshift Harley-Davidson and Indian motorcycles. Riders will draw for grid positions and run a two-lap heat race; the grid will be reversed from the original draw, and a second two-lap race will run. The rider with the best combined score will be declared the winner of the shootout.
Sponsored by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys, Palmetto State Armory, CoHo Rentals, LLC and Enfield Racing, the race features a $2200 cash purse, with $1000 going to the winner.
Competitors must meet Barber Roadrace requirements, or, to race the Shootout only:
- Must be a current member
- Must be an experienced roadracer (multiple years of racing)
- Must practice on both Thursday and Friday at the Barber Vintage Festival
Thanks for clearing that up Carl, Hey Mark you gonna frame that handsome dude on the poster ?
Does anyone know where we can get a “Shootout” poster?
Why do you have to practice both days to race in shootout
Just noticed that George, hope it’s a typo, just signed up for one day practice.
Two days of practice is ONLY if you don’t meet the regular Barber rider requirements for AHRMA racing.
