With the constant of change, AHRMA National Historic Roadracing is pleased to announce the latest update to our program. We are confident that this transition to an in-house school will be good for the organization and heartily welcome Mark Morrow as the new “Headmaster” (Lead Instructor) for AHRMA’s Academy of Roadracing.

AHRMA is Pleased to Announce the new AHRMA Academy of Roadracing “Headmaster” (Lead Instructor)
We are excited to announce that Mark Morrow has taken the role of “headmaster” for the new AHRMA Academy for Roadracing!
Mark comes to us with a wealth of experience, as a racer, mentor and instructor. He learned to ride when he was 7 years old in upstate NY on a Honda CT90 before his feet could even reach the ground. He grew up riding dirtbikes and later streetbikes all over Central NY. Marks introduction to Roadracing didn’t come until he moved to NC in 1994, where he met a group of club racers that convinced him to turn his rz350 streetbike into a racebike. He completed Ed Bargy’s Roadrace School in December 1994 and 2 months later was on the track for his first Roadrace with WERA at TGPR. Always a fierce competitor, Mark soon found himself winning races and a few years later, Championships. Currently he has won over 40 National Titles with AHRMA, WERA and the AMA, all on Yamaha 2 stroke twins. In addition to AHRMA and WERA, he has also competed with VRRA, FMRRA, CCS, NASBA and the AMA. He joined the AHRMA grids in 2014 and has been a regular fixture at most of the tracks on the schedule ever since.
In addition to his winning ways on the track, Mark has always taken the time and interest to help out the newer racers and has mentored several racers that are very competitive today. In 2002, Ed Bargy took notice of this and invited Mark to be one of his instructors, which sparked his interest in teaching. Over the next 18 years of helping Ed, Mark began to realize that teaching was something he was really interested in.
Away from the track, Mark is a passionate musician, playing trumpet and piano for most of his life. For work, he recently switched gears after a lifetime in the wine and restaurant business and now works at a small bicycle shop, repairing and selling bicycles of all types. Mark and his wife Eileen have 2 children, Andrew 21 and Mackenzie 23, one of which is living with them currently. There are 3 cats sharing the house as well and the 1 car garage is perpetually full of racebikes! When not galavanting around the country going to AHRMA races, Mark and Eileen enjoy cooking, traveling, watching movies and riding together on their tandem bicycle.
Mark is thrilled to be taking on this new role and we are excited to have him! Welcome Mark!!
